Festival of Arts

 Description: Laguna Beach’s Festival of Arts returns! Explore this juried fine art show featuring 140 of Southern Orange County’s top artists in an open-air gallery setting. Monterey Bay Strawberry Festival! Festival of the Chariots Date: Sunday, August 3, 2014 Time: 11 am to 7 pm Address: Where Windward Ave. meets "the Boardwalk" in Venice Beach Phone:310-836-4342 Email: Description:Three forty-foot authentic chariots from India are hand pulled for two miles by the spectators themsleves Santa Monica to Ocean Front Park. At the end of the parade is a huge festival site with three stages for entertainment, classical Indian dance performance, popular "Bhakti-Fest" kirtan music performers, and dramatic arts. Five food booths will offer a variety of healthy vegetarian and vegan treats. There is a tent for children to enjoy arts, crafts and music, and a "lunch on the house" booth which serves 10.000 plates, first come, first serve.

Other highlights include two cardiovascular workouts, provided by Tina B. and Soul Line Dancers and Courtney Smith. Tina B. and the Soul Line Dancers will provide Banana Line Dancing on Saturday afternoon from 2:00pm to 2:30pm; and Courtney Smith (24 Hour Fitness Zumba instructor) will provide Banana Zumba on Sunday morning from 10:30am to 11:00pm.
