Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival Announces 2015 Dates
Southern California’s Premier Epicurean Event Returns to Newport Beach October 2-4, 2015 with Returning Participants Plus All-New Experiences
Newport Beach, CA – The Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival, Southern California’s premier epicurean event, returns for a second year with new dates, October 2-4, 2015. For three days, thousands of food and wine lovers will descend upon Newport Beach, CA to experience celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, interactive wine panels, unprecedented tasting experiences and live jazz. Net proceeds will benefit returning charity partner Project Hope Alliance, a local charity that strives to end the cycle of homelessness for children in Orange County.
“We attribute the success of our inaugural year to the incredible support and commitment from every person involved,” said Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival Founder and President Stefanie Salem. “We’re thrilled to be seeing so many returning participants to combine some of 2014’s best elements with an exciting, new lineup of culinary experiences.”
The Festival kicks off on the evening of Friday, October 2, with the official Launch Party & Charity Event at Oak Grill & Aqua Lounge, one of Newport Beach’s hottest nightlife and dining destinations. On Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, the Daytime Festival returns to the beautiful grounds of the Newport Beach Civic Center, a recreational epicenter that has become an iconic architectural landmark for Newport Beach.
With last year’s critically acclaimed Grand Tasting Pavilion drawing an enthusiastic crowd of foodies, the Daytime Festival grounds will expand to showcase two pavilions, each adorned with the Festival’s signature chandeliers and white peaked tents. Executive chefs from across Orange County will once again gather to offer tastings from each of their restaurants.
Gourmands will delight in the Daytime Festival that promises unique experiences each day. Saturday will boast 14 restaurants in the Grand Tasting Pavilions, while Sunday will present a new lineup of 14 different restaurants. Some returning favorites include Oak Grill, Aqua Lounge, Selanne Steak Tavern, Canaletto, Montage Laguna Beach’s Studio and The Loft and Tamarind of London, while several of the new restaurants include Andrea, Pelican Grill, Fig & Olive, RED O and TWENTY EIGHT.
A stunning new kitchen will be brought to life during the Daytime Festival as an outdoor stage, where spectators will gather to learn from world-famous celebrity chefs through live cooking demos. With new twists to each demo, guests will be able to enjoy wine pairings to complement bites from each chef. Sommelier panels packed the house in 2014 and will be returning with an all-new lineup of master sommeliers, showcasing interactive tasting panels at the outdoor kitchen.
“We’re bringing a whole new level of talent to this year’s event,” said Salem. “We can’t wait to unveil our star-studded celebrity chef, regional culinary master and sommelier lineup. Each one of them will bring a unique educational touch to every demonstration, tasting and panel; it will truly be a once-in-a lifetime experience for all food and wine lovers.”
Guests can expect to experience over 200 wines poured in the Grand Tasting Pavilions, allowing the ultimate opportunity to pair gourmet bites with world-class, boutique and “cult” wines. Back by popular demand, the nation’s leading mixologists will be teaching guests how to create hand-crafted concoctions and serving up cocktails. Chilled imported beers will also be available to taste.
The Festival has the sponsorship support from an impressive list of local and national corporations. Some of last year’s returning sponsors include Chase Bank, Jaguar Land Rover Aston Martin Newport Beach, Duke Spirits, Riedel, Stella Artois and Whole Foods Market – Newport Beach, while new sponsors like Official Hotel Sponsors Island Hotel and Pelican Hill, Z Gallerie and Celebrity Cruises will be joining the Festival.
